The Dunkirk Inn - Denby Dale
Drink & Dine in a comfortable & friendly atmosphere.
We want to celebrate the resurgence in popularity of real ale and with a plethora of fantastic local microbreweries in West Yorkshire we're spoilt for choice. Holmfirth's Here Be Monsters have exclusively brewed Dunkirk Spirit, our very own artisan ale. Barncliffe Bitter from Small World Beers of Shelley and Ringmaster from Huddersfield's Magic Rock are our other regulars with guests always including a stout/porter, a cider and four others which rotate. We deceided early on we wanted the region's gin to take top billing on our specially designed gin menu, as the spirit of Yorkshire. We took our research very seriously and travelled to each county, all in the name of your drinking pleasure. With Divine Gin from Holmfirth, Leeds Gin, Sir Robin of Locksley in Sheffield and Slingsby from Harrogate, almost every county is represented. Working closely with Denby Dale Wines we've compiled a wine list we believe will satisfy the most discerning palette, complementing our food menu and enriching your dining experience. If fizz is more your style our Prosecco and Champagne list is sure to turn any visit into a celebration.

Apadana Restaurant - Huddersfield Town Centre
Traditional Persian cuisine in a friendly and unique environment.
Apadana is the one and only persian restaurant in Huddersfield and surrounding area. Apadana has recreated the beauty and warmth of Iran in a friendly and enjoyable environment.Persian cuisine refers to the traditional and modern styles of cooking related to Iran. The Iranian culinary style is unique to Iran, though has historically both influenced and has been influenced by Iran's neighbouring regions at various stages throughout its history. Persian recipes have improved over the centuries to bring out a unique taste out of the freshest and finest ingredients that are used in making Iranian food.Typical Persian main dishes are combination of rice with meat, lamb, chicken, or fish and some onion, vegetables, nuts, and herbs. To achieve a balanced taste, characteristic Persian flavourings such as saffron, dried limes, cinnamon, and parsley are mixed delicately and used in some special dishes. Many foods famously associated with Middle Eastern, and indeed World cuisine have their origins in Iran, such as our most famous dish : Kabab. Ranging from Chelow Kabab, kabab-e barg, Joojeh (chicken) Kabab and Ghafghazi. These are all served with rice and fresh herbs and could be accompanied with Mast-o-musir or Shirazi salad; to get a true taste of Iran. Also our stews each have their individual taste and flavour. Vegetarian stews are also available and will be served with rice or chips. Please have a look through our pages and feel free to contact us if you have any questions.

Blue Tiger - Honley
Hybrid style dishes combining Persian, Indian and Bangladeshi cooking styles.
Indo-Bangla fusion cuisine is a combination of wild and untamed tastes, which tantalises the palate with an alluring array of colours and textures, flavours are as varied as the climates of the Indian Subcontinent. The blends of spices are exotic and somewhat enigmatic. This culinary endeavour is a revival of the Persian/Mogul cuisine merged with the long-held traditions of Indian and Bangladeshi cooking styles. Indo-Bangla cooking as we like to call it, is a hybrid style, a synergy of fusion cooking. It is a perfect balance that is reached between a complex myriad of spices and blends. Here at the Blue Tiger, we have a deep appreciation of theses exotic spices and their combinations; it is an acquired art form, a legacy full of repetitive disciplines that are taught only to a few promising chefs who go through many years of cooking, blending and tasting. Through these testing arduous challenges, great chefs are born, created in a trial of Fire and Brimstone. We have been studying this art for over 10 years and have brought it to some degree into Holmfirth’s own Bengali restaurant, we are the second generation in this family and our reputation is second to none. We like to pride ourselves in establishing a warm friendly ambience whenever we are hosting our “patrons” be at the Blue Tiger in Honley.Through our experience, we relish the fact that we can and have been cooking honest homemade style food. So please be our guest and join us in this new and exotic adventure. The Blue Tiger greets you with the warmest of welcomes.CLICK HERE TO BOOK A TABLE

Bells Steakhouse - Silkstone
Stunning surroundings and outstanding food
The History of The Bells Steakhouse. The "Bells" has very much been at the heart of the Parish of Silkstone through generations. The original building dates back to the very early 1800's and first became a Public House named "The Six Ringers" in the mid 1800's. Early reference to this is made in that in January of 1843 Mr Davies from West Yorkshire lectured at "The Six Ringers Inn" on Trade Unionism and James Wilson was the first to be enrolled. The story of "The Bells" from this early date is told in the theme and style of the extensive yet sympathetic renovations carried out in the creation of "The Bells Steakhouse".William Hayes the Blacksmith to the Clarke family, who owned the local coal mines and resided at Noblethorpe Hall, can be seen pounding his anvil in the carefully recreated forge with his furnace burning brightly fuelled by locally mined Clarke's coal. The six bells from which the original Public House gained its name can be seen peeling gracefully in "The Bell Tower" dining area with the Gargoyles staring mischievously down on our guests."The Waggonway" dining room recounts on its walls the journey, via horse drawn railway tubs, of coal mined in the Silkstone pits to the Barnby Basin at Cawthorne.Local children can be seen enthusiastically collecting their miners lamps before beginning their shift and returning many hours later with weary coal blackened faces."The Belfry" proudly boasts a scale model of the magnificent "Minster of The Moors" with its 80ft tower housing the six bells. The walls are adorned with pictures of the church and it's grounds. Peer through the Gothic windows to view the bells up close. Many more features and artefacts can be seen during your visit. We look forward to welcoming you to "The Bells Experience" ** Over 12’s Dining Policy - Children over the age of 12 are allowed in the main dining area - however younger children and families can be accommodated in our Belfry area (unless booked).
